About this role
The Town of Palm Beach Recreation Department is seeking a motivated and service-oriented Driving Range Attendant to join their team at the Par 3 Golf Course. This position operates within the Town's Recreation Department, which serves a unique, high-end clientele who expect the very best in service, facility upkeep, and hospitality. As a Driving Range Attendant, you will be the face of the golf facility — greeting guests, maintaining the range, and ensuring every visitor has an exceptional experience from arrival to departure. Individuals in this role will be part of a team of driven, responsible, and compassionate professionals dedicated to outstanding customer service. Responsibilities include checking in participants, collecting fees using a computerized point-of-sale system, assisting with facility supervision, and performing a variety of maintenance duties to keep the course and range in top condition. This is a hands-on, active role that blends hospitality, light maintenance, and operational support in a beautiful Palm Beach setting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has a passion for golf or recreation, and thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. Candidates must be able to successfully pass a 10-panel drug test prior to beginning work. Whether you're an experienced golf facility professional or someone eager to break into the recreation industry, this role offers meaningful work in one of Florida's most prestigious communities.
A Day in the Life
A typical day as a Driving Range Attendant begins with opening the range — inspecting the facility, setting up equipment, and ensuring the hitting stations and range area are clean, safe, and fully stocked with golf balls. You'll greet guests warmly, check them in using the computerized POS system, collect fees, and book tee times or lessons as requested. Throughout your shift, you'll collect and clean range balls using a ball picker or cart, restock ball dispensers, and address any guest questions or concerns with professionalism and a smile. You'll operate a golf cart and maintenance vehicles to move around the property efficiently, and perform light custodial and maintenance duties to keep the facility in pristine condition. At the end of your shift, you'll balance the cash register, reconcile collected payments, and complete a bank deposit in accordance with department cash handling procedures — wrapping up the day knowing you've delivered a top-tier experience to every guest who visited the range.
