Position Overview
The Substitute Aide plays a vital role in supporting teachers and staff to create a positive and effective learning environment for students. The schedule follows the school’s standard hours, though some districts may offer additional opportunities outside regular hours, which are not guaranteed.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of instructional materials and classroom setup.
- Help in planning and organizing group and individual activities.
- Supervise students during instructional and non-instructional periods.
- Provide individual and group instructional support to reinforce learning.
- Offer enrichment and remedial assistance as needed.
- Assist with testing and student progress evaluation.
- Encourage positive interactions in the learning environment.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- A friendly and approachable attitude.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to different classroom settings.
Qualifications
- Must obtain a State of Alabama Background Check ($48.00).
- Required online training.
Compensation & Schedule
- $15.00 per hour.
- Work hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (varies by location).
