Spur Staffing is looking for hardworking and motivated workers in the Huntsville area for a Cashier position at Oakwood University Farmers Market. The ideal candidate will have a self-motivated attitude, excellent customer service and an eye for cleanliness detail.

Duties expected of this position are:
-Performing basic math functions to collect payment and make correct change

-Operating registers, scanners, scales and credit/debit card machines

-Memorizing product locations throughout the store, being able to direct customers and making suggestions

-Handling exchanges and refunds in a quick and efficient manner

-Collecting payments and bagging purchases for customers

-Reconciling register and cash drawer daily

-Taking a tally of the funds in the cash register when required and producing transaction reports.

-Keeping the checkout area clean and orderly

-Creating daily bank deposits

-All other duties as assigned

Uniform:

-Workplace will provide uniform instruction

Qualifications expected of this position are:

-High school diploma or GED/equivalent

-Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations

-Must be enthusiastic, honest, and have a good attitude

-Be punctual & professional

-Must have excellent customer service

-Must have a can-do attitude, be able to work well with others and take direction.

-Must be available Monday-Friday and Sunday

Status: Part-time

Rate: $11.00 p/hour with opportunity for growth
