Spur, a digital staffing agency, seeks hard-working and punctual Substitute Teachers in Albertville City Schools for the 2024-2025 school year. Full-time and on-demand parts are available.

The ideal candidate for the job would enjoy working with students and hold a passion for teaching. Substitutes must be punctual and professional, maintain a professional appearance, and act according to the school’s rules and procedures. Some districts may offer opportunities outside of the regular school schedule. Candidates must be able to work on an on-call basis.

DUTIES:

• Implementing lesson plans
• Assigning classwork and homework
• Maintaining classroom control and discipline
• Creating daily reports for the classroom teacher
• Taking attendance per school procedures
• Setting up basic technology equipment to support classroom instructions
• Able to work on an on-call basis
• Prior related experience working with children
• The ability to lift heavy objects to 40 lbs.
• Performing other miscellaneous duties as assigned requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain a State of Alabama Background Check ($48.00)
• Must be able to get a Substitute License ($38.00)
• Must be able to complete MCS Training (Training offered at no cost by Spur Training Manager)
• Required Online Training

Compensation

• This position pays $15.00 per hour
• Must be available to work 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday - Friday when school is in session. (Hours vary per location)
