The primary responsibilities of this position are working alongside the Nursing supervisor  and staff in the day-to-day dental care with students. Candidates are expected to always represent the school and program in a positive and professional manner. Qualifications:

• Current Georgia driver's License - good record
• Current CPR Certification (preferred not required)
• First Aid certification (preferred not required)
• 2 years Clerical experience
• HS Diploma/GED
• Pass FieldPrint background check ($50.00 -one time only cost)
• Ability to comply with written and/or oral instructions
• Prefer experience in pediatrics but nor required

DUTIES:

• Accompanies students to dental appointments
• Drive students to dental appointments in school vehicle following all laws
• Maintains awareness of student 's behavior and physical whereabouts. Conducts          periodic headcounts.
• Works closely with dental staff to ensure smooth flow of patient care
• Maintain confidentiality at all times
• Communicates pertinent information regarding students to the nurse upon arrival         from the clinic
• Works closely with the nurse assigned to each school& nursing supervisor to                  coordinate transportation to the dental clinic
• Work closely with the Nurse Supervisor on all student issues.
• Maintain files, clinic records, and keep a clean and orderly health clinic with                    adequate supplies. Ensure all vehicles are in good repair - report any deficiencies
• Schedules appointments for participating students with the dental clinic 
• records student care in computer according to school system procedures
• Follows established procedures for infection control.
• Performs CPR and other emergency as required.
• Knowledge of computers and related software and perform misc. clerical tasks             (filing, storing, copying of documents)
• Prompt and regular attendance required

COMPETENCIES:

* Ability to work efficiently with Microsoft office

* Ability to respond appropriately to common inquiries from parent and staff.

* Ability to coordinate and facilitate services between the school, local dental agency          and other community resources

* Ability to communicate clearly and concisely - define problems and draw effective        conclusions and solutions.

* Ability to perform routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities.

* Have collaborative capabilities, work well with children and have a positive attitude

Compensation
• This position pays $20.00 per hour or $20.00 per hour
• Positions schedules will be based on the school’s standard schedule and hours needed.
