Spur, a digital staffing agency, seeks hard-working and dedicated School Crossing Guard in Marshall County Schools.

The ideal candidate will be able to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, adhering to the rules and guidelines set by the school and Spur. The primary responsibility of the role is to ensure the safe passage of children across streets near schools. This role involves directing traffic, monitoring pedestrian movements, and promoting safety in school zones. Candidates are always expected to represent the school and program positively and professionally. Candidates must wear business casual clothing.

Duties expected of this position are:

Directs traffic at school sites to prevent traffic jams during school arrival and dismissal times.

Must be able to stand for long periods and perform duties in all weather conditions.

Friendly and approachable attitude.

Communicate effectively with children, parents, and drivers to ensure safety.

Prior related experience working with children.

Able to lift heavy objects to 65 lbs.

Must be prepared to respond to emergencies and assist in emergency procedures when necessary.

Observe and report any unsafe conditions or traffic violations to the appropriate authorities.

Qualifications

Must be able to obtain a State of Alabama Background Check ($48.00)
